The Big Picture: Terracotta girls in Mexico

Terracotta girls

Terracotta warrior figures are displayed as part of The Terracotta Daughters exhibition by French artist Prune Nourry, at the Diego Rivera Anahuacalli museum in Mexico City. Inspired by eight orphan Chinese girls, the exhibit features 108 sculptures based on the ancient Chinese Terracotta Army. The pieces are set to be taken to China to be buried and unearthed again in 2030.
