Readers' photos on the theme Bonfire Night.
Each week we publish a gallery of readers' pictures on a set theme. This week the theme is Bonfire Night, when people in the UK commemorate the failed attempt to blow up Parliament on 5 November 1605. We begin with an image taken by Carmelyn of Aberdeen beach.
Helen Wilton: "Red, gold and blue. A member of the Hastings Borough Bonfire Society parading through Eastbourne carrying a flaming torch. In Sussex, there are over 35 bonfire societies in the county and each one has its own colours."
Henry Nel: "I took this whilst at the Leyburn bonfire night in North Yorkshire."
Neil Foot: "After numerous attempts, my sister Lara (left) and my girlfriend Ellie (right) managed to say 'hi' in sparklers."
Adam Small: "A firework exploding over Macclesfield, Cheshire. Taken from a hill overlooking the town during a chilly evening walk."
Malcolm Stone: "Fireworks at Carleton-in-Craven's bonfire night. It reminded me of the Rorschach test. Is it a duck?"
Sophie Stephenson-Wright: "This silhouette was taken in a friend's back garden during a bonfire party."
Alex Doseff: "I took this photo of a night-time beach bonfire - the colours came from pouring 'fire magic' on the flame."
Florian Schumann photographed Bonfire Night in Banchory, near Aberdeen.
