Readers' photos on the theme of doors.
Each week, we publish a gallery of readers' pictures on a set theme. This week it is doors and we begin with this photograph by Nicola Collins of the Des Moines River in Iowa, US.
Andrea Onate: "Doorway at the Ollantaytambo archaeological site in Cusco, Peru."
Jony Underwood: " I live in Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands and I took this photo on Cofete beach, in the south of the island. We were there all day and waited for the sun to set. These doors open up to a cemetery on the beach."
Hugo Talbot: "Beautifully clear light strikes this door in the picturesque Romanian city of Brasov."
Samantha Scallan: "I took this last Thursday when on a walk around Winchester with my children. The doors are the main ones to Winchester Cathedral, and I was struck by the contrast between the red of the doors and the sandstone."
Virendra P Singh
Virendra P Singh: "These blue doors are all you see of cave homes carved into the mountain found in Santorini, Greece."
Linda Daruvala: "Beachfront cafe in Littlehampton, Sussex."
Mriganka Kalita: "The church door seems to be the only stoic presence amidst shadows, playful and thoughtful at Kastro - the highest point in the pretty hillside town of Plaka, the capital of Milos, an extremely laid-back Cycladic island in Greece."
Hugo Talbot: "This demolition work in Berlin reveals the location of doors on each floor of the neighbouring building that has been left standing."
Rhoda Richardson: "A section of Shanghai Old Town is torn down - the old doors line the path through the demolition site."
Anne Weiland: "After driving through Yellowstone Park my husband and I stayed overnight in the tiny town of Dubois, Wyoming. When we were heading out of town the next day we saw this unusual longhorn skull doorway."
And finally, a photograph by Manisha Malhotra. The next theme is "nature" and the deadline for your entries is 4 March. If you would like to enter, send your pictures to email@example.com. Further details and terms can be found by following the link below this gallery.
