Pope Francis waves to pilgrims after holding a mass in Daniel Romualdez Airport in Tacloban City, Philippines, on Saturday, as part of his six-day tour of Asia. The pontiff was in Tacloban and Palo, Leyte, to visit areas devastated by typhoon Haiyan. Rolan Garcia took this photograph.
Eurostar trains between the UK and mainland Europe were cancelled on Saturday due to a fire on a lorry onboard a train, leading to travel disruption on both sides of the Channel. Simon Lamrock caught the moment police arrived to disembark passengers at London's St Pancras International station.
On Thursday, a huge fire engulfed council offices in Oxfordshire, UK, during a spate of suspected arson attacks involving gas canisters which badly damaged two other buildings. Sean Twamley sent this picture showing fire raging inside the South Oxfordshire District Council HQ.
Peace marches and rallies continued in France as the nation mourned the victims of the Charlie Hebdo and Jewish supermarket attacks. Andrew Mitchell took this picture of protestors on Monday in Paris.
People queue before dawn at The French Bookshop in South Kensington, London, to buy a copy of Charlie Hebdo as sales began in the UK on Friday. Millions more copies are being printed after the first run sold out in hours. Ashley Donaldson, who took this photo, was pleased to get one.
Storms brought down a tree in Greenisland, Northern Ireland, UK, on Thursday. Andy Robinson, who took this picture, says power was also knocked out in several homes.
High winds on the north west coast of Scotland, UK, destroyed a marine life centre in Gairloch. Daniel French's photograph shows the flattened building which is owned by his father, Ian.
Heavy snow covered many parts of Scotland, UK, earlier this week and looks set to continue. Some people did enjoy the adverse weather conditions and made this snow dog which was photographed by Lewis Reid.
