Your pictures: Spots
Readers' photographs on the theme of spots.
Each week, we publish a gallery of readers' pictures on a set theme. This week it is "spots", and we begin with this photograph by Lisa Hooton of a cottage in Anglesey that was decorated for the Tour of Britain cycle race.
Charlotte Clare Rhodes
Charlotte Clare Rhodes: "I have been lucky enough to photograph cheetahs on a number of occasions in the Masai Mara, Kenya. They are incredible, beautiful creatures but are one of the most vulnerable of the big cats."
Jenny Downing: "On an otherwise cloudy day, this little patch of sunlight would anyway have caught my eye. The fact that it streamed through the perforated fence to dress these ivy leaves in jaunty spots made me reach for my camera."
Christopher Moore: "I found this fungus whilst walking around the lake at the National Trust property Blickling Hall."
Jill Howarth: "Our two Dalmatians racing along the beach near our home, with the worm casts on the sand adding to the overall spotty effect."
Claire Goodbody: "Counting the spots (pips) on a huge die in a soft play area."
Daniel Parker: "Snow leopard at the San Antonio Zoo in San Antonio, Texas, USA."
Simon Kirk: "Stunning eye spots on a peacock's tail, Dordogne, France."
Doris Enders: "A dog named Spot, because of his spot on the back, is sitting on his spot."
And finally, a photograph by Geoff Croft. The next theme is "construction", and the deadline for your entries is 27 October.
