The chairman and owner of Bristol Rugby, Chris Booy and Stephen Lansdown have been on BBC Radio Bristol's Breakfast Show with Emma Britton.

Chairman Chris Booy said: "Last week we got over the line and fought hard and we did it.

"It wasn't pretty but we did our job and we're in the Premiership."

Owner, Stephen Lansdown added: "They pushed us right to the wire, fair play to them, they just kept going and going and going.

"They had nothing to lose which inspired them ever more and they could see that we were a little bit nervous coming to those last 15 minutes and they really pushed us to the end."

Bristol Rugby lost to Doncaster 34-32 but held firm for a 60-47 aggregate victory.

Mr Booy added that Ellis Genge would be playing for Leicester next season and Callum Sheedy was a "strong character" who "deserved to be in the first squad".
