Garden Organic has been based in Ryton, Warwickshire, for more than 30 years but has said the site's too expensive to run.

They've now listed it for sale on a property website.

A campaign group called Save Ryton Gardens has been set up saying they want the sale to be stopped and the 20,000 members of the charity to be consulted to see if they can help with the finances.

Garden Organic says running costs are stopping them from working at full potential and they're looking at all possible options to reduce cost pressures.

Air ambulance 'told to move over health and safety risk'

Joan Cummins

Midlands Today reporter

An air ambulance pilot was asked to move by a building site worker because they were a health and safety risk.

The Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance says it was called to treat a man in cardiac arrest at Persimmon Homes site in Whitnash, Leamington Spa, on Sunday.

Still of helicopter landing in compound
Mike Bunting

But the BBC's been told by an eyewitness that a saleswoman told the pilot the area wasn't suitable for a landing, because it was a health and safety issue.

Persimmon Homes says they take health and safety very seriously and at no stage would their staff "obstruct the emergency services".

But they added that, because the helicopter landed in a compound, it was vital that they pointed out the dangers to the public.

The air ambulance service says safety is always their priority and the patient was taken to hospital by road.
