Consortium has vast experience

Ed Dawes

BBC Radio Derby

Two seats on Alfreton Town's board, rising to a third,

will go to the newly created Legend Football Partners - a venture between Texan firms Playbook Management International and 1863 Capital.

BBC Derby Sport understands the investment is less than £250,000, but the Americans come with vast experience in the running of US soccer teams and player management.

It's expected the investment will see player exchanges between the company's MLS-based teams and the Reds, as well as off the field expertise.
