Temporary road signs warning motorcyclists and drivers to look out for each other are going up at accident black spots across Derbyshire.

The reflective signs have been placed on roads with a history of crashes.

Burton Tesco plan shelved

As well as cancelling plans for a store in Allenton, Tesco has also shelved a scheme to build a new supermarket in Burton.

The development had been planned for Hawkins Lane but the retailer has informed the borough council the plan will no longer be going ahead.

It's part of the firm's plans to

shelve expansion and close 43 stores across the UK.

Rolls-Royce has announced

plans to modernise its main aerospace site in Derby to create a "campus".

A Rolls-Royce spokeswoman said: "We have been based in the city since 1906 and some of the buildings on our main Derby site are many years old and no longer fit for purpose.

"We need to modernise our facilities to help us continue to be competitive and continue to meet the needs of our customers."

David Mountford, who runs The Boat Inn, has been a leading campaigner for the proposed change

a three-car crash in Chesterfield this morning.

Officers attended Saltergate at 8.30am to a collision involving a Renault Clio, a Ford Fiesta and a Transit van.

Tesco's cancelling plans for a developments in Derby and Burton as part of

proposals to close stores across the UK.

The building of a new Tesco near Derby's Spider Island would have been a big development, creating about 400 jobs.

The area's outdoor market would have been rebuilt and several homes were vacated to make way for the store, but now the supermarket has written to Derby City Council to inform it the plan has been scrapped.

to save a historic Burton ale after a brewing giant confirmed that it was going to stop making it.

Carlsberg confirmed to the Mail that it was ceasing production of its Draught Burton Ale after they claimed demand for the drink fell to a level that was 'unsustainable'.
