stole nearly 100 solar panels from two fields near Sudbury.

A sit-on roller was stolen from a third site during the same period - between Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning this week.

has started a petition calling for a more generous funding deal from the government.

Hospital translation costs soar

The BBC has learned the cost of translating and interpreting at NHS hospitals in Derby has more than doubled over the past four years.

The figure for 2009/10 was £218,683 but by 2013/14 this had increased to £450,920.

A council has taken steps

to protect the future of a community-run pub in Chesterfield.

The borough council has added The Wellington Hotel in New Whittington to its list of "assets of community value".

It means if the pub comes up for sale or long-term lease of more than 25 years, the community will have up to six months to raise the funds to buy it before it can be sold on the open market.

Derby engineering company Garrandale Group says signing a £15m deal with Bombardier has helped to secure the future of its workforce.

Chief executive Malcolm Prentice said: "It also means we can invest in the business to grow it further within the Derby area."

during a burglary in Chellaston.
