A family

were robbed and assaulted in their own home by three robbers armed with a gun.

The trio also threatened a takeaway delivery driver and stole his car during the raid, on Stubley Lane in Dronfield, on 19 March.

has joined Cheltenham Town on a youth loan deal until the end of the season.

have thanked paramedics and medical staff who saved his life.

As he continues his recovery, his family have an awareness campaign to encourage young people to don protective headwear when riding motorbikes.

Second homes council tax nets £566,000

Derbyshire County Council

says it will earn an estimated £566,000 from council tax paid on second homes in the county over the next 12 months.

The authority plans to spend the cash on projects offering support to domestic abuse victims and people concerned about debt.

has been charged with murder after a body was found at a travellers' site.

Addy McAllister, 33, from Bolsover, is accused of killing Adam Fanelli, from Bedforshire, earlier this month.

Man injured in stile fall

Edale and Buxton mountain rescue teams came to the aid of a man who injured his back and leg

when he fell while climbing a stile near Upper Booth this morning.

The 20-year-old was treated by a team paramedic before being moved to an ambulance and taken to hospital.

Police target Chaddesden 'nuisances'

Police are to use a 48-hour dispersal order to tackle anti-social behaviour

in and around Roosevelt Avenue in Chaddesden.

The order, from Friday to Sunday, gives officers extra powers to take pre-emptive action against anyone hanging around on the street they believe could be about to break the law.

Water tanker apology

Severn Trent has apologised for the noise caused by water tanker lorries being used to keep supplies running while repairs are carried out on a burst water pipe in Derby.
