Your views: 'Terrible decision' to charge bikers for parking

Facebook

You've been reacting on our Facebook page to the 50p an hour charge on bikers for parking at Matlock Bath.

Steven Murphy said: "Both cars and bikes currently park for free on the main road. The charge will be applied to both. Main Road should be free. Businesses should boycott paying their business rates. A terrible decision, and one which will be implemented throughout the rest of the Dales towns, I'm sure."

And Chris McNeill posted: "With the amount of bikers Matlock attracts, I think there should be a bike safe made available where a fee should be charged. If a car driver goes to Matlock with his family he has to pay to park his car.. Why should it be any different?"
