I’ve been looking at which newly-elected Derby city councillors enjoy the biggest mandate ... in other words, how many registered voters in the ward chose the winning candidate.

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was allegedly threatened with a bolt gun outside a campsite in Monyash.

An argument broke out yesterday afternoon between two groups of men and women on Church Street outside the Lathkill Dale campsite.

The dispute is said to have centred on dogs worrying livestock.

PCC to 'officially accept' role

Staffordshire's Police and Crime Commissioner will officially accept his role today. 

Conservative Matthew Ellis was re-elected to the post on Friday. 

The formal signing of acceptance is a legal requirement that needs to take place before the new term of office for the PCC begins.
