'Too little, too late' to dispose of 'fly' waste

Former mayor Paul Pegg says Derby City Council and the Environment Agency are due to meet tomorrow to talk about what can be done to control an invasion of flies from the waste site in Slack Lane.

Factories have had to shut their canteens. All over the weekend I've been inundated with calls about it. This company have done too little too late and the Environment Agency are as much to blame as they haven't pushed to get this site cleared as quickly as it should have been."
