The winds will ease off this evening giving a fine end to the week. 

Staying dry for most of the night with some clear spells at first but the cloud will thicken by the end of the night and there will be some showery rain heading in by the morning. 

It will be a muggy and humid night with lows of 13C (55F).

Some homes on Whetherby Road in Derby are being evacuated after it's thought a gas main has burst in the area. 

Emergency services are dealing with the incident. 

It's believed the damage was caused by a car.

"I think this is going to be almost a death knell now for paediatric services in the whole of the East Midlands" Mr Peek said.

Production to continue at region's Toyota plant despite Brexit

Tony Walker, from Toyota, has been explaining how the company can say the jobs at their Burnaston site are secure in the wake of Brexit. 

"Toyota, like everyone else, works on model cycles, so that determines how long we make a car for" he told BBC Radio Derby. 

"We've already decided on the investment for the next car, which will come in a few years time. 

"Then this next car will be made for the next six or seven years."
