More on the Humber Bridge closure

Clare Crooks

BBC Radio Humberside

A lorry has blown over on to its side while travelling north across the Humber Bridge although it was closed to high-sided vehicles at the time.

Police say the lorry knocked down a lamppost which then fell on to the southbound carriageway.

There's a lot of debris on both sides of the road.

Emergency crews are at the site.

The good news is that no one has been seriously injured.

Police expect the southbound carriageway to reopen by 17:00 so expect significant delays if you're heading that way.

I'd try to avoid it altogether for the time being.
