To round off the day lets take a look at five things we didn't know when we got up this morning.

  1. Water doesn't necessarily freeze at freezing point. Here's Keeley with the science bit
  2. Once you take your boots off you can always put them on again
  3. Rio must have a sky high electricity bill, they keep all the lights on
  4. Continental air from North Africa is making us sweat and Hull the hotspot of the UK
  5. A new manager could be on the horizon

BBC Sport

Some news for Hull City fans as the Hull Daily Mail are reporting that Mike Phelan is close to becoming their permanent manager.

'My family don't quite understand it' - Peacock

BBC Sport

More on the news that former England captain Jamie Peacock is coming out of retirement to play for Hull KR for the rest of the season.

In a statement on the club's website, Peacock says: "Although my family don't quite understand it, this feels like the right decision. The time has come for me to put my boots on again.

"Physically, it may take me some time to get back up to speed, but I've been preparing as best I can and mentally I'm in a good place."

Peacock, a multiple Super League, Challenge Cup and World Club Challenge winner who was crowned Man of Steel in 2003, could make his return against London Broncos on Sunday.

Peacock, now 38, hung up his boots after helping Leeds to victory in last October's Grand Final and took up the role of head of rugby with the Robins.

However, the Robins are fighting for their Super League survival and Peacock aims to help them through a late-season injury crisis.

Why is it so muggy?

Owain Wyn Evans

Did you sleep last night? To be perfectly honest its just a bit too sticky for my liking.

So where has this heat come from -  quite simply its a tropical continental air mass from North Africa bringing warm and dry weather.
