UKIP leader Nigel Farage, from Kent, and Labour supporter Eddie Izzard, from Sussex, went head-to-head in Folkestone on BBC's Question Time. 

Eventually the pair were told by David Dimbleby to "calm down because the audience will get so cross they'll walk out. They'll do a Brexit!". Watch their exchange below.

Erith's Arthur Simpson-Kent has pleaded guilty to the murder of former EastEnders actress Sian Blake and their two children.

Cabbies call for greater Uber regulation

There are calls for greater regulation of Uber drivers who are operating in Kent even though they're not licensed here. 

Taxi drivers in north Kent say private hire drivers working for the app-based service aren't subject to the same strict licensing regulations.

Cabbie Mike Smith, who is chairman of Medway Licensed Taxi Drivers Association, had his say on BBC Radio Kent:

'Do something amazing'

Cannabis found in lorry

Police have arrested two men after nearly a tonne of cannabis was found in the back of a lorry near the Dartford Crossing. 

Officers opened the trailer and found pallets loaded with what looked like hay - but on closer inspection they discovered it was drugs, Kent Police have said.

Parents at a Kent special school are being warned to keep a close eye on what their children are watching online, after several brought in home-made weapons. 

The head teacher of Dover Harbour Specialist School has said pupils will be searched with metal detectors if they suspect they might be carrying a blade. BBC South East Today's Chrissie Reidy reports.
