Escape to the County...(of Kent)

Claire Cottingham

Police have launched an air and ground search for a lynx wild cat which has escaped from a zoo in Dartmoor.

Flaviu arrived at the zoo on Wednesday night from Port Lympne in Kent and was settled into his new house at 19:30 BST.

But it seemed the lynx preferred Kent as it made its great escape by digging out of its enclosure.

Scottish Wildcat kittens spotted in Kent...

Claire Cottingham

Unfortunately they're not for sale, but three extremely rare Scottish Wildcat kittens have made their first appearance at Wildwood, near Herne Bay.

Oban (male), Fearn and Rhu (both female) are now 11-weeks-old but haven't been on show to visitors until all their vaccinations had been completed.

It's believed just 100 of these adorable fluffballs remain, according to the Wildwood Trust.
