WBBL Play-off final

The British basketball season reaches its conclusion this weekend with a double header from the O2 Arena. 

First up is the WBBL Play-off final as Sevenoaks Suns take on the Nottingham Wildcats, the suns will be hoping to make it a double after winning the WBBL trophy earlier this year.

Nottingham Wildcats finished the season as Champions but will hope to go one better in the play-off final, after losing in the last two finals.

Police concerned about missing teenager

Police are appealing for information about missing 16-year-old Adham Fathi from Lancing.

He was last seen at around 13:45 BST in the area on 10 April.

When Adham has gone missing before he has been found in Kent but he also has friends in Brighton and has spoken about travelling to London.

Anyone who sees Adham or knows of his whereabouts should call Sussex Police on 101 quoting serial 1649 of 10/04.

Two arrests in murder investigation

Detectives investigating the death of a 21-year-old man in Tovil near Maidstone have arrested two people.

Razvan Sirbu, 21, of no fixed address, was found dead at 07:15 BST on Sunday 7 May 2017 in the Loose Valley Conservation Area.

Results from a post mortem examination revealed he had died from blunt force trauma to the head and body.

Last night police arrested two people, an 18-year-old man near Aylesham and a 19-year-old man in Maidstone. Both suspects are from the Maidstone area. They are in police custody.

Kent Police in knife crackdown

Almost 50 people have been arrested in Kent during a week-long campaign to tackle knife crime.

Officers carried out patrols in town centres and train stations as well as visiting schools.

Police say many of those found with weapons were also connected with other criminal behaviour such as the supply of drugs.
