Police are concerned about a teenager missing from Gravesend.

Robert Barton-Hanson, who's 16, hasn't been seen since 27 May, when he was in Northfleet.

He has links to the Cooling area, and was wearing grey shorts and t-shirt and black Nike trainers.

Power outage after electricity pole crash

A number of homes are without power after a motorist crashed into an electricity pole.

Firefighters were called to help the man, who was trapped in a car, after the collision in Station Road, Lydd.

He was passed into the care of SECamb at around 16:30 BST.

The road was closed, and UK Power is on the scene to fix the snapped power cable.

Possible explosive device found off Kent coast

Explosives experts have been sent to a stretch of the English Channel, after reports of a Second World War device being found.

A vessel surveying the area to the west of the Goodwin Sands alerted coastguards just before 11:00 BST.

A 350m exclusion zone has been set up, while investigations continue.

If you're on Twitter this is one not to miss - the RNLI is tweeting events from the Battle of Dunkirk during World War 2 in "real time".

The charity's telling the story of Operation Dynamo, a secret mission to rescue thousands of Allied troops who'd been hemmed in on all sides of the French port in 1940.

Crews from Kent and Sussex were sent on the dangerous 50-mile journey to France, eventually saving 338,226 soldiers.

Two arrested over hate crime

Two teenagers have been arrested by police investigating a reported hate crime at Minster beach on the Isle of Sheppey on Sunday.

The 18-year-old man and 16-year-old boy were arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of committing a racially aggravated public order offence.

Kent Police said they were later released pending further enquiries.
