Good afternoon

Burnley 1-0 Leeds

Leeds
Rex Features

Unlucky or not, today's loss means Leeds are winless in four and have took just one point from their last four games.

You can listen to our post-match interview with Steve Evans here.

We'll be back on Tuesday night for the game with play-off chasing Birmingham. Until then, thank you very much for joining us, and enjoy the rest of the day.

More from Evans

Burnley 1-0 Leeds

Chris Wood
Rex Features

"The performance in the second half was fantastic," Evans continued.

"We've come here and been the better team by a distance, but we've lost the game. A number of their players said to me they've been outplayed today.

"The positives were all over the pitch - Sol Bamba, Liam Cooper were outstanding and I was really pleased with Toumani and Luke Murphy.

"Burnley protected that goal with their hearts and their souls and if that's the win that takes them to the Premier League, then we wish them well."

Evans on today's loss

Burnley 1-0 Leeds

Steve Evans

"Football is a cruel game and if you switch off, you get punished," Steve Evans told BBC Radio Leeds.

"After the goal, we bossed the game. We opened them up, but no-one is more disappointed than Chris Wood.

"They were two great chances. We have to be more ruthless in the boxes. We didn't get our shape at the start and it cost us."

@WYSdaily are we lacking in the technical ability in the coaching staff, who is coaching the strickers, not a criticism honest question

@WYSdaily WYS is it me or is the transition from defence to attack just too slow.? Too much time given to burnley to get back in numbers

Noel on the formation

Burnley 1-0 Leeds

Noel Whelan

Ex-Leeds United striker

I thought, before the game, Leeds would go 4-4-2 as it was the perfect opportunity to.

We didn't play badly but the one thing that has let them down today is not putting chances away.

You could sense it was a nervous Burnley, on the field and in the stands, and Leeds have wasted the chance to put them under pressure.

@WYSdaily @NoelDavidWhelan is spot on there. Depending on ££ I might sell wood but then I'd sell 8 of that 16. Cooper mom for me did his job

@WYSdaily C Wood will do better next season, but it does feel a bit like we bought another Steve Morison. Goal to chance ratio poor so far.

Young players and Steve Evans

Burnley 1-0 Leeds

Gareth Jones

BBC West Yorkshire Sport

I think Steve Evans gets more out of the experienced players, rather than the young ones.

If he does stay on, that’s something that he will have to work on.

Neil Redfearn kept Leeds in the Championship with young players and with so many youngsters about, it’s an area that Leeds have to improve on.

More from Noel

Burnley 1-0 Leeds

Noel Whelan

Ex-Leeds United striker

If Chris Wood had got that first header, it would have been a different story.

It was a nervous Burnley and Leeds were putting them under lots of pressure but not taking any of their chances.

Another of those good Wood performances where he's squandered two guilt edged chances, at least we are creating them now though @WYSdaily

@WYSdaily it doesn't matter how well or not you play, if you don't score you won't win. How many corners this season have we scored from? 1

Popey on the loss

Burnley 1-0 Leeds

Adam Pope

BBC West Yorkshire Sport

There are a lot of positives and I thought they rattled Burnley, who looked nervous.

They’ve got themselves into good areas and on another day you would probably get the run of play.

Chris Wood knows that it was a big chance missed today.

Noel on today's game

Burnley 1-0 Leeds

Noel Whelan

Ex-Leeds United striker

When you get your chances, you have to take them, and Leeds have had two fantastic chances headed wide.

There are some positives to come out of the game but the be all and end all of it is that they've lost.

@WYSdaily having a lot of possession and playing well doesn't win games, never look like scoring in any game

@WYSdaily not the result we wanted but quite pleased with the way we played and how many chances we created. Just got to take them now #lufc

BreakingFULL TIME: BURNLEY 1-0 LEEDS

Eleven corners, three shots on targets, no points. Leeds have had the better of large periods of that match, and they've come away on the losing side.

A defensive mess cost them inside the first minute, and although they grew into the game, it still leaves them four games without a win.

Burnley 1-0 Leeds

Ashley Barnes has missed a sitter from Matt Taylor's cut-back! Barnes has acres of space on the right, but it comes off his heel and towards the left, and then wide. That was not good viewing.

Burnley 1-0 Leeds

Chris Wood heads the ball into Tom Adeyemi's path, who is about ten yards out, but Tom Heaton is forward to collect it.

Burnley 1-0 Leeds

Another Leeds corner, which Alex Mowatt sends beyond everybody and Lewis Cook gets into a tangle. It's not quite a shot from the back post, but whatever it is ends up in the crowd.

Five minutes of added time ahead, as Burnley look to close this game out.

Burnley 1-0 Leeds

Burnley are looking to kill this game now as they bend the ball in to Andre Gray, before Gray is subbed off for Matt Taylor.

Burnley 1-0 Leeds

Third and final change for Leeds, as Stuart Dallas makes way for Alex Mowatt.

Burnley 1-0 Leeds

Burnley are keeping hold of the ball and making Leeds do all the work. There's half a chance for Burnley as Scott Arfield works into the penalty area, but a fine tackle from Charlie Taylor and then Liam Cooper ends their run.

Burnley 1-0 Leeds

Ashley Barnes turns across Sol Bamba, but it's out for a goal kick, despite the Burnley fans protests.

Burnley 1-0 Leeds

Giuseppe Bellusci has stood up and sat back down, as Tom Adeyemi comes on instead. Toumani Diagouraga makes his way off.

There's a break in play as Liam Cooper lands awkwardly on his shoulder. He's in quite a bit of pain.

Burnley 1-0 Leeds

Lewis Cook has the ball from 20 yards out and decides to have a go but Tom Heaton is well behind it.

That's another change for Burnley though, as Dean Marney replaces David Jones.

Burnley 1-0 Leeds

Joey Barton outmuscles Mirco Antenucci and Luke Murphy to break and pass through to Andre Gray. Gray runs into the box, sees Ashley Barnes but Liam Cooper clears the cross over his own bar.

Burnley 1-0 Leeds

Leeds win another corner, this time thanks to Mirco Antenucci, but it's headed away at the back post and Burnley break during the scrap afterwards.

Burnley 1-0 Leeds

Those Chris Wood chances don't get any better, no matter how many times you see them. Two great chances gone begging.

Always said Wood is a 1 in 3 chances goal scorer. He has missed two great chances now, so next one is going in! #Lufc

Burnley 1-0 Leeds

Burnley make their first sub, as Ashley Barnes comes on for Sam Vokes.

Burnley 1-0 Leeds

Chris Wood, again, heads it wide! Oh that really should have been in. A lovely ball Charlie Taylor capped off some great build-up from Leeds, and Wood has nodded it wide from close range.

Burnley 1-0 Leeds

Burnley's free-kick goes curling in to Marco Silvestri, who takes it well into his chest.

Burnley 1-0 Leeds

Luke Murphy repays Joey Barton's sliding tackle on him earlier by doing the exact same thing. And it has the same result, as he's shown a yellow.

Burnley 1-0 Leeds

And Mirco Antenucci is into the action straight away, as he shapes to knock Ben Mee's high ball into the net, but Mee muscles him out and the shot goes wide.

Burnley 1-0 Leeds

First change of the game, as Mirco Antenucci comes on for Mustapha Carayol. That should mean that Lewis Cook goes out to the left and Antenucci comes up front with Chris Wood.

Burnley 1-0 Leeds

The eighth corner of the game for Leeds comes in to Chris Wood at the back post, but it's a strong take from Tom Heaton to deny Leeds again.

According to the stats I'm looking at we're winning 8-0 @WYSdaily

Burnley 1-0 Leeds

Tom Heaton's clearance goes sailing out of play, giving Leeds a throw-in and Mirco Antenucci a chance to have a jog around.

Burnley 1-0 Leeds

The corner goes in to the near post, before being prodded out to Lewis Cook, who breaks for Leeds before eventually ending up as a goal kick.

Burnley 1-0 Leeds

Burnley turn defense into attack with one pass as Andre Gray makes a cracking run down the right and wins a corner past Sol Bamba.

Burnley 1-0 Leeds

Burnley are sloppy at the minute, as Joey Barton gives the ball away in midfield. Lewis Cook finds Stuart Dallas, who has a go from range and unsurprisingly sees the ball fly over the bar.
