For the rest of today it’ll be fairly cloudy with some bright spells where the cloud thins and breaks. Highs of 20C (68F).Patchy, drizzly rain will move eastwards overnight. Despite this, many areas will remain dry with some clearer spells in the early hours. Lows of 15C (59F).

An 'innovative solution' to obesity

He says: “If there is something out there which is getting people off the sofa and pounding the streets then this game could be an innovative solution for rising obesity levels.

“Walking is hugely underrated yet it is man’s best and the cheapest form of exercise. It’s an easy and accessible way to get active and help maintain a healthy body.”

Well now diabetes experts at the University of Leicester are claiming the game could be an “innovative solution” to rising obesity levels and chronic disease.

Sharon Robinson has criticised the lack of "compassion" shown by Leicestershire Police towards Charlie's mother Lynsey and his step-father Paul.

The couple were arrested not long after Charlie died on suspicion of manslaughter by gross negligence.

She says: "They needed each other that day they needed to comfort each other" instead they were separated by police.

Four casualties in Belgrave crash

I've just found some more information on that crash on Loughborough Road. It involved two cars and there were four casualties.

One woman was trapped inside a car and had to be released by the fire service.

All four were taken to the Leicester Royal Infirmary by ambulance. The injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Water park death: More on arrests

Two people arrested over the death of a five-year-old boy in a suspected drowning at a water park are believed to be the child's mother and stepfather.

Charlie Dunn, from Tamworth, Staffordshire, was pulled from the Blue Lagoon at Bosworth Water Park in Leicestershire on Saturday afternoon but died later in hospital.

A man and a woman were held on suspicion of manslaughter by gross negligence and have been released on bail pending further inquiries.

Leicester's Hospital Trust say the huge increase in staff costs is because the catering, cleaning and Urgent Care Centre services are now in-house.

They also point out that they're still on course to significantly cut their deficit.

Police comment on IPCC proceedings

Police workers 'under criminal investigation'

The IPCC said it had decided not to name any of those under investigation to make sure the ongoing criminal investigation isn't compromised.

They will however be serving/former police officers, police staff or from companies contracted to the police.

He'd been accused of 22 counts of sex offences against boys over a 20-year period from the 1960s - allegations his family denies.

Eleven people have been told they're formally under investigation over their handling of the historical sex abuse allegations against the former Leicester MP Greville Janner.

Another Frog Island factory fire

It seems like every week at the moment I'm telling you about a factory fire in the Frog Island area of Leicester - well there's been another.

The fire was in a disused factory on Rugby Street late on Saturday. This is FOURTH factory fire in the area this month.

Crews were there for over 13 hours - they believe the fire was started deliberately and say it's caused severe damage to the building.
