Glass thrown in woman's face

There's been a pretty nasty assault on a 19-year-old woman at a bar in Leicester.

Someone went up to her in the smoking area at R-Bar on Granby Street and threw a glass at her face.

The young woman's eye socket was injured and she needed hospital treatment.

Police want to hear from anyone who saw what happened and also the group of men who went up to her after to tell her she was bleeding.

There's been an inquest into the death of a Loughborough motorcyclist who died during the six-lap senior TT race on the Isle of Man.

The coroner said Andrew Soar lost control of his bike at an area of the course known as Keppel Gate, hitting an embankment.

The 32-year-old suffered severe brain injuries and died at the scene.
