BreakingMurder arrest following death in Cosby

A 53-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a man who was found at a house with serious injuries.

Leicestershire Police said they were called to the house in Brooklands Road, Cosby, Leicestershire, at 11:30 where they found the man inside.

He was taken to hospital where he subsequently died.

The force said "scene preservation" is currently in place along Brooklands Road, between Manor Road and Andrew Avenue, while investigations continue.

Storm Doris: 'Unsafe roofs' force road closures

The Inner Ring Road at St Georges Way in Leicester is being closed until further notice because of an unsafe roof.

A side of Sanvey Gate is also being closed due to another unsafe roof.

Both are likely to cause all sorts of huge traffic problems.

Why the name Storm Doris?

I was a little baffled as to why today's storm is called "Doris". 

Well, it seems "Doris" was voted for by the public as part of the Met Office's "Name Our Storms pilot scheme" - which helped compile the list of storm names for 2016 to 2017.
