Two officers dismissed from Humberside Police

Caroline Brockelbank

BBC Radio Humberside

Two Police Constables have been dismissed without notice from Humberside Police, which is responsible for areas in North Lincolnshire, following a misconduct hearing.

The first officer punched a man while detained which was deemed to be gross misconduct. The officer also lied about the location of an arrest and didn't tell supervisors when he was going home.

The second officer was present and didn't report the incident when a detainee was punched and also fell asleep whilst carrying out cell watch on a vulnerable detainee.

Teens warned not to climb on 'structurally unsafe' Boston roof

Alex Rhodes

BBC Lincolnshire Live

Teenagers have been spotted climbing on the roof of the Old Court House in Boston's town centre prompting authorities to warn of safety fears.

The roof structure and brickwork has become loose. This is a CCTV image of the teens captured in the street below.

I can understand youngsters during the long summer break wanting to find somewhere to chill with their friends – I was young myself once! But rooftops are not the right places for several reasons. For one they may be trespassing and could be in trouble if inadvertently damage was caused. But I am much more concerned about the potential risk they place themselves in.
