Military teams in Lincolnshire have been getting NHS and emergency services staff to and from work during the bad weather over the past few days.

The latest figures we've been given show that 96 staff moves were carried out yesterday, including a surgeon being taken to an operation and medical supplies being transported.

Meanwhile, a total of 55 staff moves were carried out up to lunchtime today, we've been told.

Council tax to rise in North East Lincolnshire

Council tax in North East Linconlshire is to go up by almost 5%.

The local authority's budget plans were passed by councillors last night.

Last week, opposition parties voted against the budget, but they finally had to agree on it or risk the authority being put into special measures.

Seven thousand tickets sold for Imps trip to Wembley

Tickets for Lincoln's first appearance at Wembley are going like hot cakes.

Power has been restored in the Althorpe area, near Scunthorpe.

Northern Power says about 160 properties were cut off this morning.

They are still working to restore power to about 30 houses in Flamborough and some people are now without power in North Lincolnshire, near Goxhill.

Lincolnshire's gritters kept busy

It won't come as a surprise that last night was another busy one for Lincolnshire's gritting team.

The gritters went out on their usual routes at midnight and again at 03:00 this morning, salting and ploughing over 1,800 miles of road each time.

Gritter crews have also been dealing with any trouble spots which have arisen, with the support of local farmers and contractors.

They say the biggest problem they're experiencing is high winds which are causing any cleared snow to drift back onto the roads quickly.

Spring clean scheme falls victim to weather

Plans for people across North Lincolnshire to do their bit for the Great British Spring Clean 2018 have been hit by the snow.

Events had been planned across the county for the next three days which would have seen people become "litter heroes".

Last year 300 volunteers collected more than 700 bags of rubbish as part of the scheme.

It's hoped the events will take place at a later date.

About 160 properties are currently without power around Althorpe, near Scunthorpe.

Northern Power now estimates it should be restored in an hour's time.

Some people in Flamborough are also without power.

It's hoped that should also be back on in the next couple of hours as well.

Humber Bridge closed to high-sided vehicles

The Humber Bridge remains closed to high-sided and vulnerable vehicles due to the current weather conditions in the area.

Drivers are advised to consider alternative routes and to only travel if it's essential.

Police work through night to rescue stranded motorists

Lincolnshire Police worked through the night to get to people stranded in their cars.

Supplies delivered to village by BBC Radio Lincolnshire

Across Lincolnshire the focus is now on getting supplies to cut off, rural communities.

Many villages are isolated and need supplies of food, water or medicine.

Jenny from Donington on Bain got in touch with BBC Radio Lincolnshire because she was running out of supplies at her shop.

Never one to sit idly by, our sports commentator Michael Hortin decided to try and get to the village.

He went to Tesco, who donated £175 worth of provisions, and delivered the food.

Jenny says the villagers are delighted and they're donating money to BBC Children in Need.

Charity gets homeless people shelter from the snow

Yet another example of the Yellowbelly spirit in action through the snow and horrible weather conditions.

P3 - a charity working with the homeless in Lincoln - has been out through the night to help people into their shelter.

The outreach team managed to help four people who were asleep on the streets of Lincoln into accommodation.

One person said it would be their first night sleeping inside in over three years.

Boston Pilgrim patients to be transferred in convoy

The BBC in Lincolnshire has been told a convoy of ambulances and 4x4s are to transport discharged patients from Boston Pilgrim Hospital to private, residential and nursing homes in Skegness.

The severe wintry weather has caused problems over the past two days for the emergency services.

An emergency planning meeting is currently being held.

Hunts Coaches, which operates some school buses, will not be running today.

Call Connect is running an extremely limited service.

Police focus on getting to isolated villages

Persistent freezing conditions are continuing to cause widespread disruption across Lincolnshire.

The weather still remains unpredictable, swirling winds are pushing snow onto the roads.

Police say their focus is now on helping rural villages which are cut off without groceries and other supplies.

If we can get those main roads open, if we can get deliveries through to those rural villages then we'll be trying to do that. We are seeing that neighbours are clubbing together and speaking to each other and looking after each other and that makes a big difference to us.

If you’ve got a long distance to travel that’s a no. If you are living in rural areas that’s a no.

Police are asking farmers to continue to help snow plough the roads and support the communities in which they live.

A number of events have been cancelled because of the weather.

This weekend's Humber Bridge Farmers' Market has been postponed due to the ground conditions.

Plans for people across North Lincolnshire to do their bit for Keep Britain Tidy's Big Spring Clean have been hit by the snow, events had been planned across the county for the next three days.

Humberside Fire and Rescue say they have been dealing with fallen roof tiles and signs in Bridlington through the night because of the strong winds.

Emergency responders still working despite conditions

Difficult driving conditions continue in many areas today with high winds causing snow drifts of up to seven feet in places.

People have been told by the police not to travel unless absolutely necessary.

But LIVES - the Lincolnshire charity which supports the ambulance service by responding to emergency calls - have still been trying their best to get to those who need them.

Some responders have driven 4x4s through the snow.

Others in isolated villages have loaded their medical equipment onto a sledge and walked to the call.

Chief Executive Nikki Silver says it's been a challenge but some responders have been able to replenish stocks.

She also says the responders have been told not to put themselves at risk when they travel.

Travel disruption: East Midlands trains suspended

If you're catching a train in Lincolnshire this morning the bad weather is affecting some of the lines.

East Midlands Trains are suspended between Sleaford and Skegness, and Lincoln Central and Grimsby Town.

Northern has put on a replacement nus service between Cleethorpes and Barton-on-Humber.

As for buses, Stagecoach East Midlands have been forced to cancel all of their rural services until further notice.

Flood warning on the Humber and more school closures

More than 30 schools are still closed across the East Yorkshire and northern Lincolnshire.

There is also a flood warning in place along the Humber.

The Environment Agency says flooding is expected on the north bank west of Hull for the high tide until 08:30.

It says areas at risk include the Riverside Quay and St Andrew's Quay.

There are flood alerts in place along the east coast at Bridlington, Hornsea, Withernsea, Kilnsea and Immingham.

The BBC Concert Orchestra is currently stranded in Skegness after a performance.

They heard a wedding was taking place in the hotel they are staying at, so they provided some surprise entertainment for the happy couple.

Lisa and Reece Brown got married at the Crown Hotel and were treated to some tunes by ten of the 65 piece orchestra.
