Studio 338 fire: Police praise for LFB

Police have praised the London Fire Brigade for their work in Greenwich.

Around 100 firefighters tackled the blaze which spread across a recycling yard, industrial units and Studio 338 nightclub.

Greenwich fire: Eyewitness says casualty fell through roof of burning building

BBC London's Alex Bushill is at the scene of a large fire Greenwich. 

An eyewitness told him a person was on the roof of Studio 338 trying to put out the flames before falling through and having to be rescued.

One woman rescued from Erith fire

A woman had to be rescued by firefighters wearing breathing apparatus from the fire at a block of flats in Erith.

Part of two flats on the fifth floor, a communal corridor and the roof void of the building on the High Street have been damaged, according to London Fire Brigade.

The woman was treated by London Ambulance Service crews.

Greenwich residents warned over nightclub fire

London Fire Brigade have warned people in Greenwich to keep doors and windows shut if they are near to the large fire on Boord Street.

Part of the ground and first floor of a nightclub are alight as well as a an industrial warehouse and a scrap paper processing yard.

The brigade say gas cylinders and around 40 pallets of paper are involved in the blaze.

London Fire Brigade said ten fire engines and 72 firefighters are at the scene after they were called at 13:35 BST.

A plume of black smoke can be seen across London following the blaze at an industrial unit in Greenwich. 

The fire is raging behind the Studio 338 nightclub. 

London Ambulance Service said it had treated one person for burns, who was then taken to hospital via the air ambulance.
