Dave Wade

BBC Local Live

The Torch Academy Gateway Trust, which would run the Newark Toot Hill Free School, said the proposals were part of a response to future demand.

Plans for the Newark School of Enterprise were rejected by the government in 2014 because it could not "reach the high bar we have set".

So revised plans were submitted last year by the trust, which also runs academies in Sherwood, Bingham and Market Warsop.
