A motorcyclist's been killed in a three-vehicle collision in East Grinstead.

It happened on the A22 Beeching Way at 17:50 BST on 15 June.

The man who died, a 24-year-old from Croydon, was riding a blue Suzuki.

A black Renault Clio and a green Toyota Yaris were also involved.

Brighton will be honouring the late MP Jo Cox tomorrow, with the city's inaugural Refugee Week event dedicated to her memory.

Blakers Park will be the scene of a Great Get Together, with stalls selling tea and cakes, and delicacies on offer from Brighton's Syrian community.

The Kemptown Gallery will also be holding a series of exhibitions on a refugee theme, with a talk tomorrow evening by Sudanese poet and songwriter Bashir Al Gamar.

He's lived in Brighton since fleeing his homeland in 1993, following his imprisonment for writing a poem.

Seagulls sign international shot-stopper

Brighton and Hove Albion have signed Australian international goalkeeper Mathew Ryan.

The 25-year-old joins from Spanish side Valencia, but had a loan spell at Belgian side KRC Genk towards the end of last season, where he kept 11 clean sheets in 24 appearances.

He'll arrive next month, after taking part in the Confederations Cup.

He won the Belgian cup during a spell with Club Bruges, and was chosen as Belgian pro league Goalkeeper of the Year in 2014 and 2015.

Ryan's joined on a five-year deal for a club record transfer fee, and played all three matches for Australia in the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

His arrival follows the departure of David Stockdale to Birmingham, announced this week.

For somebody of Mathew's age, he has very good experience, having played in the top divisions in Australia, Belgium and Spain. He has also competed in European competition and made a number of appearances at international level.'

Appeal for witnesses after boy attacked in Rye

Police are seeking information after a young boy was attacked in a Rye play park.

At about 17:00 BST on 29 May, the 12-year-old boy was at the play park on Tilling Green when he was punched and stamped on by another boy, sustaining scrapes and bruises to his head, arms, left leg and mouth.

The suspect is described as white, aged about 13, of medium build with dark brown hair.

He was wearing a black shirt and black jogging bottoms.

He suffered horrific injuries after a car crash in New Zealand.

Now, one year later, Joe Sandford works four days a week, and is able to drive again.

A mother has given birth in her car after her husband got lost on the way to hospital.

Fatal collision in Fairlight

Police are appealing for witnesses to a fatal collision involving a cyclist and car in Fairlight.

The incident happened on Battery Hill shortly before 07:00 BST yesterday.

Officers and paramedics attended to find the cyclist, a man aged in his 50s from Bexhill.

He was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

The car, a white Vauxhall Agila hatchback, was driven by an 88-year-old Hastings woman, who was uninjured.

The singer Alison Moyet, who enjoyed several hits in the 1980s with the likes of Is This Love?, says she's been offered food by strangers because she looks like a "bag lady".

Moyet, who is currently studying sculpture, told The Graham Norton Show that nobody spots her when she travels from her home in Brighton to college in London.

I was on the train the other night and managed to get a seat - there were two businessmen opposite me and a smart young lady next to me and I was crammed in with all my bags and covered in plaster and clay and as she was leaving she pushed over her leftovers and said, 'Would you like my food?"'

Motorcyclist killed in three-vehicle collision

A 24-year-old man from Croydon has been killed after his motorcycle collided with two cars on the A22 Beeching Way, East Grinstead.

The collison happened yesterday at 17:50 BST on the A22 Beeching Way, East Grinstead.

The occupants of the other vehicles – a black Renault Clio and a green Toyota Yaris – were uninjured.

British Airways technology chaos will cost £80m

The IT meltdown that grounded thousands of British Airways passengers at Gatwick and Heathrow will cost the airline at least £80m, it has emerged.

Willie Walsh, chief executive of BA owner International Airlines Group, told investors its initial assessment of the gross cost "is in the order of £80m"

A new station for the Volks Railway in Brighton has been delivered.

A crane was used to put the building in place, on Madeira Drive near the Sea Life Centre.

It'll become the Aquarium station and will also house a new visitor centre.

It's part of a £1.65m programme, paid for by the Heritage Lottery fund, which also includes restoring three original carriages.

After seven years and £3m of community funding, Saltdean Lido will re-open its doors tomorrow.

Built in the 1930s, it's Britain's only Grade-II listed outdoor swimming pool and one of just three remaining outdoor seaside pools in the country.

It's hoped that as many as 300,000 people a year will use the lido once it re-opens.
