BreakingMan and two children 'found safe and well'

Robert Roche and his two small children have been found safe and well in Brighton.

They had been missing since Monday morning from their home in Hove.

They were spotted earlier in London Road, Brighton, just after 10:00 BST by a police community support officer.

The man and children are currently with officers for a welfare and health check, and to establish the circumstances of their disappearance.

It is a big relief to everyone to know they have been found, and we would like to thank the public and news media for all the interest they have showed during the search. In particular, we had a call this morning from a member of the public who had seen a man with children answering the descriptions in the area of London Road, which really helped us focus our search."

Southern train

Commuters will find out later how much train tickets will rise next year, with warnings there could be the highest increase in five years.

The Government links the annual January rise in fares with the July Retail Price Index, which will be revealed at 09:30 BST.

The RMT union says fares could go up by as much as 3.9% which would increase the price of a season ticket between Brighton and London Bridge by £134 to just under £4,000 a year.
