Stadium of Light open to the homeless
Sunderland's Stadium of Light is opening it's doors to homeless people this weekend.
Staff are hoping to help vulnerable people who are currently out on the streets in bitterly cold and icy conditions.
There is a "special warm room" in the stadium with places to sleep, hot food and drinks and pets are also welcome.

Giant waves are crashing over Souter Lighthouse in South Shields due to the extreme weather.

Teesdale B roads 'should not be used'
The B roads linking Teesdale and parts of Weardale to Cumbria are "impassible".
Police are warning that drivers are becoming stranded on these roads, which are being used due to the A66 being shut.
In a statement, Durham Constabulary said: "We are not exaggerating when we say these roads are extremely dangerous and should not be used."
Makeshift room set up in Alnwick
A leisure centre in Alnwick has set up a makeshift dormitory where about 30 people spent the night yesterday.
Willowburn leisure centre decided to set up the room due to the closure of the A1.
The "wonderful staff" have been praised by locals.

More detail on that road closure now - The A690 is closed westbound from the A19 down to Houghton-le-Spring, police have confirmed.
This is due to "dangerous overhanging snow", which Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service is currently assessing.
A diversion is in place towards the A183.

Fellside Road 'passable with care'
Fellside Road in Whickham is now passable, police have confirmed.
They are warning road-users to approach "with care" towards the Woodmans Arms, as work is still ongoing to clear the top of the bank.
Police ask travellers to 'respect closures'
Coach carrying 43 people stranded in snow
A National Holidays coach carrying 43 passengers got stranded on the A1 near Berwick last night, the company has confirmed.
It was travelling between Edinburgh and Newcastle when it got caught in the snow for at least eight hours.
All passengers were put up in a community centre in Berwick.
The firm says they're all "fit and well and in good spirits".
The driver is with them and has been in constant contact with the company, it added.
