#BBCtrending: Dying to make a point

11 August 2014 Last updated at 00:11 BST

Dripping in blood and calling for an ambulance, Varun Pruthi lurches into the road. In front of numerous bystanders who do nothing to help, he dies.

He then gets up because he is not dead. He is an actor who stages "social experiments" to expose what he calls India's lack of humanity.

Pruthi's videos are inspired by real events and have attracted millions of views on YouTube. He tells BBC trending about his two most popular videos.

Video produced by Paul Harris.
