Watch: Latest on the delayed Kensington recount

BBC London's Political Editor, Tim Donovan says the Kensington recount is unlikely to take place until Saturday at the earliest.

Why voting counts...

The General Election count in Kensington has been suspended without a result.

A third recount will take place "as soon as possible" after counting staff have had a chance to "rest and recuperate", the constituency's returning officer said.

Results for the London seat, which was won by the Conservatives in 2015, remained "very close" after the second recount.

Kensington staff too tired for another recount and have been sent home

Barry Caffrey

BBC Radio London

The returning officer at Kensington is sending everyone home as the staff are too tired for another recount - there have been two so far.

There are just 36 votes between Tory and Labour.

A third recount will happen later today or even tomorrow.
