Peter Higgs: 'Shy but brilliant'

Peter Higgs and Francois Englert have been awarded the 2013 Nobel prize in physics for their work on the theory of the Higgs boson, discovered at Cern in 2012.

Here, the BBC's science editor David Shukman profiles Peter Higgs, the notoriously shy Nobel Prize-winning physicist, who pioneered a theory to explain the very fabric of our Universe.
