'Polar bear cam' view of the ice
The 'Polar Bear Cam' project has been set up in the Canadian tundra.
It allows people to watch the bears as they wait for the ice to freeze so they can begin their annual seal hunt.
In this footage from the program, a bear tests the ice on the Hudson Bay to see if it strong enough to bear his weight.
