Sixteen-year-old Nick D'Aloisio has developed an app called Summly, which helps people to navigate the web more quickly by simplifying long articles.

The Wimbledon teenager's invention has impressed seasoned investor Li Ka Shing, who has given him substantial seed money.

The Hong Kong billionaire has previously backed Facebook, Spotify and Siri in their early stages.

Jane Wakefield caught up with the teenager in his bedroom, where he found the inspiration for his app.
