CES 2013: Orange goo to 'toughen up' your phone case

British company Tech21 has developed a "goo-like" substance called D30.

It looks and feels like children's modelling clay - but it can be used to make smartphone accessories stronger.

Giles Tongue of Tech21 demonstrated the strength of the material by hitting his finger with a large mallet.

D30 can be manipulated to fit almost any shape, and the company is also preparing screen protectors using a similarly strong material.
