Fancy assembling your camera before you use it?

A DIY digital camera called the Bigshot has just been launched in the US - designed to teach children about how the technology works.

It has been developed by a US computer science professor who used funds from Google and the US Department of Defence to develop the kit, in an effort to inspire kids who spend all their days using hi-tech gizmos with no idea how they're put together.

So what do its intended users make of it all? Samir Hussain has been finding out.
