Flying robot: Gimball could be used in search and rescue missions

A flying rescue robot that could be used to search areas which are hazardous to humans has been unveiled.

Gimball, which was inspired by insects, can collide into things and then right itself.

Co-creator Adrien Briod explained the theory behind the flying device.
