9 January 2014 Last updated at 08:19 GMT

US firm Yellow Jacket has caused a stir at the Consumer Electronics Show by unveiling a smartphone case that doubles as an electric shock stun gun.

The "self-defence" feature packs a 650,000 volt sting, and comes in a range of colours including pink. Similar devices are illegal in many countries including the UK.

BBC North America technology correspondent Richard Taylor asked a spokeswoman about the safety implications.
