Why radio has an enduring appeal

Down the years plenty of technologies have looked set to curb the appeal of radio - the cassette tape, the CD, the iPod and streaming services like Spotify to name but a few. But all have so far failed.

Radio listening figures are holding up remarkably well given all the other sources of entertainment and information available in the digital era, as David Grossman reports.
