1 May 2014 Last updated at 13:15 BST

A digital design firm from the Netherlands has developed a prototype smart fish tank, that travels on wheels, in response to the movements of the fish.

The company, Studio diip, has launched the idea on crowdfunding site Kickstarter, which has just branched out into the Netherlands.

Thomas de Wolf, co-founder of Studio diip, explained to BBC News how the device works, and the steps it has taken to protect the wellbeing of the fish.
