Plans for a 72-hectare (178-acre) solar farm close to the site of an energy firm have been approved.
The 40MW park will be built on land at Woodington Farm, near Romsey, which surrounds Hive Energy's headquarters.
Test Valley Borough Council granted permission for the park for 25 years but the proposals are subject to a number of conditions, including a plan for the restoration of the site.
The project will be built next summer, Hive Energy said.
It is expected to supply energy to about 9,100 homes and will be built next summer.
