A stretch of road has been paved with solar PV (photovoltaic) panels in France.
While Senegal experiences a huge investment in solar energy, many people living in rural communities are yet to see the benefits.
It's hoped the unusual shaped plant will power over 10,000 households annually.
Plans for a 72-hectare (178-acre) solar farm close to the site of an energy firm have been approved.
The 40MW park will be built on land at Woodington Farm, near Romsey, which surrounds Hive Energy's headquarters.
Test Valley Borough Council granted permission for the park for 25 years but the proposals are subject to a number of conditions, including a plan for the restoration of the site.
The project will be built next summer, Hive Energy said.
