As Jeremy Corbyn takes his election campaign to Scotland, in Reading, the local Labour party says it will fight to stop the town sleepwalking back to the Tories.

Its candidates for the Reading East and West constituencies ahead of June's General Election are being chosen by the party nationally.

Reading's sitting MP's, Conservatives Rob Wilson and Alok Sharma have confirmed they'll stand again.

BBC South's political editor Peter Henley says Reading is an interesting one to watch in general elections, as it often "goes against the tide" in national politics.

Will we be watching Labour or will we be watching Liberal Democrats? They seem to be the resurgent ones at the moment, in the past the Liberal Democrats have mounted a strong challenge, more in Reading East than Reading West, but in both constituencies.
