£109m school buildings fund agreed

Somerset county councillors have voted to spend £109.3m on starting to build 14 new schools and improving 10 existing schools.

It could involve taking out up to £94m in loans. The council hopes to get £15m in government grants.

County councillors voted unanimously in favour of funding the schools programme.
