Peterborough man held in electoral fraud probe
A man has been arrested in Cambridgeshire as part of a police investigation into alleged electoral fraud.
Police said the 31-year-old man was arrested at his home address in Peterborough on Wednesday.
He was questioned on suspicion of possession with intent to commit fraud before being released on bail until 14 May.
Peterborough City Council said it had passed information to police.
"We have received an elections-related complaint and have passed the information on to the police for further investigation," said a council spokeswoman.
Voting is taking place in 19 Peterborough City Council wards.
