France shootings: Police search Saad al-Hilli home

Help

A police search operation has taken place at the Surrey home of a British man shot dead in the French Alps along with his wife and two others.

Three French officers, accompanied by Surrey Police, spent nearly an hour inside the home of Saad al-Hilli, and are expected to return later to conduct further searches. They have also asked Italian and Swiss counterparts to help them in their hunt for those responsible.

The search of the al-Hilli home is part of efforts to gather background information about the family.

Tom Symonds reports.
