Pat Finucane murder: Police press conference

Help

Police Service of Northern Ireland Chief Constable Matt Baggott reacts to the report into the murder of Belfast solicitor Pat Finucane.

Mr Finucane was shot by loyalists in front of his wife and children at his north Belfast home in February 1989.

Sir Desmond de Silva's review confirmed that agents of the state were involved in the killing, but that there was no over-arching state conspiracy.

Mr Finucane's widow, Geraldine, has dismissed the report as a "sham" and a "whitewash".
