Help

This week BBC Radio 4's The World at One programme is looking at the criminal justice system in England and Wales.

In the third part of the series, Justice Secretary Chris Grayling told presenter Martha Kearney he is looking to meet budget targets by "reducing the cost of prison and not having less of it."

"Its important that we stop people going back behind bars... by having better rehabilitation support post-prison," he said.

He explained that the government were looking at a payment by results scheme for post prison mentoring.
